This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted September 10, 2020.

Salary(Grade:NM2) Hiring salary range $89497-$123,054 Position Purpose Responsible for the leadership, development and implementation of annual and multi-year sport-specific performance planning to help all University of Ottawa Varsity Sports and Club Programs in achieving provincial and national success and recognition as a leader in academic, ethical and sport performance at the CIS sport level.

The candidate will work with all Sports Services staff to assist in enhancing the mission, image and reputation of the University of Ottawa’s Athletics program and Varsity teams.

Serves as a top advisor to the Director, acting as the representative of the Sports Services when required.

Provides leadership and direction to the Sport Services Executive table, leading and managing change, developing programs and services where coaches, athletes and teams are supported in their pursuit of excellence, through extensive internal and external collaboration with a broad range of constituents including coaches, athletes, alumni, all Athletics and Recreation (A& R) personnel, as well askey campus and community stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications University degree (Master’s Degree preferred), or equivalent experience in physical education, kinesiology, sport administration, sport management, or a sport business related fieldSeven years of experience managing sport programs, including planning, development, operations, evaluation, financial, human resources and administration; Understanding of the provincial and national university sport environmentExperience working with coaches, administering, budgeting, planning and managing sport programsExtensive familiarity with high performing athletes and the services required to support performanceAbility to share the values that are consistent with the high standards of the University of Ottawa and its mission to provide quality educationAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsBilingualism English and French (spoken and written) Key Competencies Key competencies required at the University of Ottawa:Planning: Organize in time a series of actions or events in order to achieve an objective or a project.
