HORIZON – ENABLING ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS Horizon is a key to Enterprise solutions at Ross Video; it sits at the heart of our solutions architecture allowing customers to easily orchestrate deployment and configuration of their Ross products; manage user rights across Ross products; provides feature licensing so that our customers can access the Ross product features they need; connectivity for content sharing among Ross products; and so much more.

MANAGER ROLE We are a team currently transitioning into an agile workflow and believe in incremental development and continual improvement.

We know we’re not perfect and as we embark on this journey, we expect to make mistakes, but also to learn from those mistakes and grow as a result to become stronger, faster, better.

Customer satisfaction is our highest priority, so we are highly customer focused.

If that means jumping on a plane and flying half-way around the world to address an issue, then that’s what we’ll do.

If that means sticking our heads into a lion’s mouth, well… we won’t do that, but you get the idea .

This role is multifaceted: there is a technical component, a marketing element, and people management too.

On the technical side we believe in technical excellence and want someone that can mentor and coach the team to be software development craftspeople as opposed to just developers and testers.

We need someone who will stay on top of latest broadcast industry technologies and trends for software deployment.

We think that following best practices, such as TDD, clean code, adhering to SOLID design principles, clean architecture, test automation, and high levels of collaboration among the team produces the most maintainable and extendable applications and are looking for someone with a similar perspective.

On the marketing side we need someone that can drive and own the long-term product vision by engaging key internal and external stakeholders and regularly querying them for feedback; someone who can prioritize competing requests and deliver releases that provide just the right amount of functionality to attain the highest return on our development investments; someone who will engage with sales and marketing for materials such as product whitepapers, pricing, customer inquiries, customer presentations, training and commissioning.
