What Will You Work On?

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll be instrumental in achieving our vision for the future of Air Miles by taking complex requirements and turning them into simple experiences that resonate with users and offer strong business value.

How Will You Create Impact?

You will own the backlog to guide your team in providing business value to our platform that supports 11,000,000 Collectors Using Agile radiators (agile reports) you will own reporting on epic progress to key stakeholders Guide your Scrum team(s) with clear Sprint goals Write User Stories and work with the team to split them if to large to fit in an iteration Attends the team’s daily stand-up meeting to understand the team’s progress and impediments toward the Iteration goals.

Capture customer requirements and ideas by writing (or helping others write) stories and Enablers.

Continuously accepts or rejects completed stories and Enablers.

Works with the System Architect to ensure Enablers are properly prioritized so as not to mortgage the future of the architecture.

Verifies that stories are in the proper format, contain valid confirmation (aka acceptance criteria), and are in line with the Program vision and scope.

This includes any necessary design details, business rules, NFRs, etc.

Ensures that the team is aligned to the PI Objectives, and Iteration goals are clearly defined and communicated.

Helps remove or escalate obstacles to Product Management.

Makes sure that the Agile team has a direct connection with the business through story development and the Iteration review.

Meets regularly with Product Management (e.g.

PO Sync) to keep stakeholders informed on how much incremental value has been generated.

Present the stories and Enablers during Iteration Planning.

Meet with the team each week to refine the Team Backlog.

Collaborate with team members to form PI Objectives.

Help identify dependencies with other teams during PI Planning.

Partner with cross-functional IT teams and internal stakeholders to optimize partner and collector experiences with two key goals in mind: maximize user/customer satisfaction and achieve business objectives.

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll guide and inform the direction and evolution of backend systems and/or API’s that enable checkout experiences.

Work with senior client-facing leadership focused on developing short
– and long-term roadmaps and become a strategic partner to the business.

Understand and keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends and innovative solutions being implemented across the industry.

In partnership with the UX team, review customer insights to develop backend systems and/or API’s to enable successful checkout strategies that meet the needs of both users/customers & the business.

Collect, understand and communicate business requirements to development teams while keeping user needs top of mind.

Lead the vision, planning, development, and launch of new products and features; think in big picture terms but deliver on the details.

Communicate plans and objectives clearly to cross-functional teams to ensure quality collaboration on actionable items.

Prioritize and plan features based on customer priorities and business values, making educated, data-driven trade-offs and decisions as needed.

Review and refine user stories in addition to acting as a technical consultant to various teams Let’s Talk About You: 5 years experience in payments industry product management, with knowledge of payment processing, clearing/settlement, audit and compliance.

Alternatively, 5 years in Platform SaaS Product Owner or Product Management and familiarity with Agile software development Experience working in an agile environment Experience/exposure working with cloud-based applications/architectures Excellent organizational skills, including ability to translate business objectives into IT requirements and manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience working with JIRA is an asset Ability to partner & build relationships easily/influence others Excellent communication & storytelling skills Ability to prioritize competing demands based on ROI Strong aptitude for analytics Highly skilled at stakeholder communication and expectation management Diversity, Equity and Inclusion AIR MILES is for everyone.
