Senior Manager, Business Consumer Insights (12 month contract)

Why is this role important?

The Senior Manager, Business and Consumer Insights will lead a team tasked with driving actionable consumer and business insights for the LCL Market Division.

The team tasked to provide analysis and insights into customer behaviour, and provide proactive recommendations to help drive action from insights.

The Senior Manager will collaborate with and influence Category, Marketing, Merchandising & Promotional Planning and Senior Leadership across the business, enabling them to drive driven insights to drive top and bottom line results.

This will be a 12 month contract.

Proactively provide customer insight to business challenges and opportunities through customer analytics and insights.

Leverage Loyalty and Consumer Insights COE expertise in advanced analytics, data science, and customer research to address highest priority business challenges Liaising with cross functional teams in merchandising, loyalty and research Lead development of new reporting and insight tools to better empower the business to make data driven decisions Champion the use of customer data in our decision making Maintain best practices in promotional optimization analysis and application Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively across different forums amongst different audiences verbally and in writing (e.g.

formal presentations, one-on-one meetings, in front of large audiences, with business leaders) Coach, develop and mentor direct report including the performance management and development of colleagues while considering on-the-job training needs for each colleague, arranging appropriate training, providing timely feedback, and succession planning What You’ll Need Strong team leader and ability to build and maintain effective cross functional relationships Ability to influence across all levels of the organization Strong business acumen Innovative and customer centric, understanding that loyalty should be fun and exciting Strong leadership and collaboration skills Proven ability to develop short and long-term plans in line with strategic initiatives Excellent communicator across all levels of respective team and across the enterprise A strong understanding of the competitive landscape in order to recognize and capitalize on opportunities Ability to gather and synthesize customer, competitor and market insight and information An effective change agent who possesses the influencing skills needed to help the organization adopt new ways of thinking and to embrace more sophisticated business tools Advanced business and financial acumen Working knowledge of SQL, Python is an asset Ability to deal with competing priorities Previous loyalty/analytics experience an asset Previous experience with research methodologies and syndicated research 5 years retail experience 3-5 years of management level experience with direct reports LI-BT How You’ll Succeed: At Loblaw, we seek great people to continually strengthen our culture.
