This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted May 13, 2019.

Corporate Furniture Group is currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, individual to join our team immediately for the Operations Manager Position.

This position involves delivering and installing all types of office furniture and panel systems into commercial, government, healthcare and military institutions .

The ideal applicant should have experience working in the office furniture industry with a good understanding of the unique handling requirements of furniture.The Operations Manager should have strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and direct the team to successfully complete the tasks assigned.

Excellent troubleshooting skills are essential.Candidates will be working on client sites in busy, high-profile corporate settings and as such should possess good communication skills, professionalism in customer service, and maintain a clean and presentable appearance.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the planning, delivery, and installation of office furniture.Provide excellent customer service.Can interpret blueprints and think outside the box to solve problems.Write summary reports for deficiencies and maintain simple records; ie timesheets, inventoryOther duties may be assigned as needed.Successful candidates will have completed a high school diploma or higher and must be able to:Direct and supervise team membersAbility to independently determine the appropriate methodology for completing assigned projects as necessary.Ability to follow instructions and direction as and when required.High-energy individual with a tendency and ability to take initiative, follow through and see tasks through to completion.

English essential.

Bilingual considered an asset.Attention to detail.

Ability to translate/interpret blueprint office layout drawings.Knowledge of MS Word, Excel an assetBasic knowledge of Project Management.Ability to work independently with little supervision.Ability to work well under pressure with deadlines on various projects.Minimum of 2 years experienceEffectively able to handle power tools.Valid G class driver license
