Manager customer analytics


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted November 6, 2019.

Team & Job OverviewAs EDC aims to be the leader in helping all Canadian exporters go, grow and succeed internationally, the marketing team has an ambitious agenda to deepen exporter engagement through digital capabilities and analytics-based marketing programs.

As part of the channels & marketing group, the marketing team is seeking a Manager of Customer Analytics to accelerate its measurement & analytics practice across the marketing performance portfolio to therefore increase awareness of EDC across current and potential Canadian exporters.

Working with the Director of Customer Analytics, the Manager of Customer Analytics will be responsible for empowering and developing team members and ensuring a business focus to all analytical output.

The manager will serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders and manage workload, priorities and expectations.

The manager will drive change in business decisions by telling the story behind the numbers to facilitate data driven decision making.

As an exceptional communicator, the candidate will leverage measurement and analysis to share program and customer insights to marketing leaders and team members to inform & enhance marketing performance across the full value stream (data, analysis, insight and action/recommendation).

Key Responsibilities & Requirements Empowers, engages and develops the team to deliver quality and innovative solutions to continuously enhance the exporter/customer information database that facilitates data mining, data analysis and modeling to create customer/exporter profiles and segments Drives innovation, change and communicates results throughout the organization to show how digital investments contribute to customer, employee and shareholder goals Employs effective customer feedback channels and measurement frameworks and manages the marketing scorecard(s) and budgets ensuring results are accurately captured and measures return on investment Manages employees Creates/advises on the creation of visual storytelling through dashboards and PowerPoint presentations Discipline Summary Integrates data analysis and models into the business which supports marketing and product management/development strategy and decision making Develops new analysis methodologies and influences design of technologies supporting future analytical capabilities Liaises with the IT and other data management functions as required both internally and externally Key Competencies Manage the team of analysts, their work allocation including scope supervision, performance management and development Supervises and coaches the development and production of reports/dashboards, data analysis/modeling and communication of actionable data insights to decision makers Directs the performance and skill/career development of his/her team ensuring the team has adequate capacity and capability to meet organizational needs Drives ongoing effectiveness and efficiency in day-to-day operations through agile/scrum framework Build relationships with functions outside of marketing, such as sales, IT and other analytics teams Strong business focus Customer (Exporter) focus with particular emphasis on conversion (digital literacy) Drive for results and self-motivated Authentic approach and personal excellence Experience in business analysis Experience in data visualization and storytelling Screening Criteria Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field Minimum 7 years’ experience in global digital marketing, marketing automation or digital CX including experience developing an analytics approach for digital marketing programs Advanced knowledge digital marketing principles/practices Demonstrates leadership abilities Assets Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)Experience with Agile Marketing delivery Experience with data and analytics tools (Paxata, PowerBI, SAS, R) Location The position is based in Ottawa Salary Range $86,000 $128,000 15$ performance-based incentive How to apply Interested candidates are encouraged to go through the application process on livewire on or before Friday, November 15, 2019 at 11:59 PM EST.
