Join us Job Summary CN is looking for a passionate, self-motivated recruitment professional who is driven to deliver top talent to our team.

The Lead, Talent Acquisition Consultant is responsible for full cycle recruitment while proactively working to ensure CN builds a diverse workforce.

You will coach and develop a high performing and motivated talent acquisition team that is continuously striving to reach our hiring goals.

CN’s people make the difference and, in this role, you will be responsible for attracting and hiring top talent to come onboard by building and implementing sound hiring strategies.

You will join a fast-paced and dynamic Talent Acquisition team that is focused on continuing CN’s legacy of being a top employer year after year Main Responsibilities Leverage in-depth knowledge of full cycle recruiting and employer branding techniques including job posting management, sourcing, conducting interviews, and offer extensions Own full cycle recruitment of the IT portfolio while actively coaching and training team members on recruitment best practices Partner with leaders and the Talent Acquisition team to drive all hiring efforts and provide full life-cycle recruitment support for all opportunities Proactively develop ways to improve our recruiting strategy and candidate experience Train, coach, and mentor Talent Acquisition team members on hiring best practices and industry standards Develop a deep understanding of CN’s talent needs across different teams and groups Build and maintain collaborative relationships with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs while providing expertise on market trends and hiring recommendations Work collaboratively with our team leads and managers at both the strategic and tactical levels to fulfill current and upcoming recruitment needs Report on and track hiring progress and KPIs on a regular basis identifying trends and areas for improvement Continuously work towards building and maintaining strong talent pipelines for multiple, complex searches by leveraging numerous platforms Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment process Collaborate and share knowledge and best practices with the Talent Acquisition and HR teams Ensure data integrity and accuracy through CN’s internal ATS system Act as an ambassador within the Talent Acquisition team Ensure that recruiting and hiring practices are in compliance with corporate policies and governmental regulations Working Conditions The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday.

Requirements Experience Minimum 2 years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Lead or similar HR role Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT recruitment environment Education/Certification/Designation Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources (HR) or equivalent Technical Skills/Knowledge In depth experience with ATS and/or Recruitment Software Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Proven track record of success in talent acquisition with strong recruitment skills Ability to multi-task and adapt to a rapidly changing environment Strong interviewing, negotiation, and closing skills Resourceful with strong analytical skills Competencies Collaborates with key internal stakeholders to enable higher productivity Leverages feedback and coaching to develop and improve team performance Inspires others with impactful communications and adapts to the audience Exceptional project and time management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French) Shares timely information within and across functions to get things done effectively Applies analytical thinking to make recommendations that result in sustainable outcomes Strong technical aptitude or interest in tech with a strong understanding of relevant roles in the industry Able to grasp new tools and systems quickly A sense of ownership and pride in your performance Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic to meet challenging and changing deadlines About CN CN is a world-class transportation leader and trade-enabler.
