Position ResponsibilitiesBusiness DevelopmentMarket HTC’s wide range of financial products to generate new salesProspect assigned territory for new business; Participate in developing new sales strategies to increase market share within assigned territoryRecognize any cross/up sell opportunitiesKeep current with industry trendsRegional Operations & Account ManagementDevelop, strengthen and maintain broker relationshipsWork effectively with all internal and external business partners to achieve required organizational & regional/territory goals and achieve excellenceConduct routine visits to identify, develop and maintain solid relationships and a strong presence with brokers and their referralsConduct regular debriefs meetings with the underwriting unit to ensure their feedback is incorporated into sales process and any issues addressed immediatelyMaintain & evaluate consistent objective and sound risk assessment in a high volume, quality and service oriented environment Sales StrategyAnalyse business opportunities and create plans to maintain continuity, growth and attainment of sales objectivesRemain current on all related HTC services and offerings, latest market trends, and participate in industry events to secure competitive advantageConduct large sized speaking engagementsProvide thought leadership relating to the mortgage industry CommunicationProvide the highest level of service and support to external brokers inquiries and funding teamMaintain a best-in-class relationship with sales, brokers, and brokerage housesRespond to mortgage broker account inquiries and following up internally with various departments resolving any issues and complaints in a timely mannerWhen called upon, investigate and respond to broker inquiries in a timely mannerProvide mentorship to an assigned BDM to help support and grow that employee’s portfolio – which may roll-up to the RSM roleLiaisse with marketing and recommend opportunities to achieve objectives through monitoring the effectiveness of the current and promotional programsFormal EducationBachelor’s degree required in Business, Economics or equivalentCertification(s)/Designation(s) preferredRelated ExperienceMin 3-5 years in mortgage salesStrong understanding of mortgage lendingSkillsProblem solving exceptionalProactive/ takes initiative/ self starterTime management, highly organizedAnalytical thinkingMulti-tasking in fast paced, deadline driven environmentSales/business developmentNegotiating, influencingInterpersonal relationship buildingMotivating/inspiring othersCoaching and mentoringCommunication (verbal) excellentProfessional maturity exceptionalMortgage ReportingLoan origination softwareMS Office Suite proficientPublic speaking/ presentation
