The Opportunity:As a growing, diverse and passionate team we’re eager to find our next teammate to join us on our mission to change the way the world thinks about food waste.We are looking for a Business Development Manager to help continue to build and grow our expanding markets.

In this role, you are tasked with developing, implementing, managing, and closing Food Cycle Science opportunities through new and existing market verticals.

What You Will Do:The Business Development Manager’s position is a key position within the organization which will be relied upon to seek out, and secure, new Business to Business (B2B), and Business to Consumer (B2C) opportunities for continued growth of the company.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the role is responsible for building and expanding on key customer relationships with new and existing clients and aligning with the Solutions manager who focuses on Business to Government (B2G) opportunities.This role will manage existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retain business and will cold-call within a defined market or geographic area to ensure continual opportunities for business growth.

What We Are Looking For:You will have an undergraduate (four-year college or university) degree in business administration, marketing or a related field of study.As well you will have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a Business Development Manager or in a similar role.

You possess excellent communication and presentation skills as well as excellent negotiation and leadership skills.

You demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

You have proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

The following qualifications would be an asset: Experience in providing training These are the competencies that we are looking for: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively.Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills with ability to convey information in a clear, focused and concise manner by demonstrating diplomacy and professionalism.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsInterest in developing skills through both internal and external training.Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques.
