is part of the BWXT nuclear power segment (NPG) of BWX Technologies, Inc.

We are currently looking for a Facilities Manager for our Kanata location.

JOB DESCRIPTION Has overall responsibility for the technical performance of building facility systems that support the pharmaceutical manufacturing operations at the Kanata location.

Prepares or review estimates, proposals, and manages projects related to the pharmaceutical and nuclear facility systems.

Interfaces with the site landlord on nuclear and pharmaceutical facility systems as the single point of contact for BWXT facilities support.

JOB STRUCTURE AND COMMUNICATIONSReports to Director, Development and Process Engineering.

Manages projects with the goal of providing facilities that meet cGMP current best practices.

Responsible for the development of project scope and requirement documents.Has full authority for team activities within budgetary constraints and reporting guidelines.

Interfaces with stakeholders in R& D, Operations, Quality, and Engineering.

Represents BWXT when interacting with the Kanata site landlord on nuclear and pharmaceutical facility support systems.

Provides guidance and advice to Projects to ensure that cGMP current best practices are implemented in new or renovated facilities.

Works with Procurement to establish vendor support for facilities initiatives.

May represent the company externally.

RESPONSIBILITIESAccountable for the completion of project related to pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, these may include: Nuclear support systems.

Replacement of obsolete equipment.

Facility renovations.Responsible to lead estimation, planning, and vendor selection for projects.

Manages scope, budget, and schedule for approved projects.

 Manages field activities.

Interfaces with internal stakeholders.

Accountable for managing BWXT’s facilities relationship with the site landlord.

Ensures that the site landlord performs tasks, as required to support manufacturing.

Single Point of Contact for facilities related communication for the Kanata facility.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEMechanical Engineering Degree Leadership/Management Skills 10 – 15 years of Pharmaceutical Facilities Maintenance experience.

Experience with managing service agreements from vendors.

Capable of leading a team of Engineers and Technicians.

Experience with construction projects.

Optional: Proven experience any of the following: WFI systems, Electrical Distribution, Clean Steam, Pharma HVAC, Nuclear HVAC.
