Zone is looking for a bilingual assistant manager for the Ottawa store.

Established in 1980, Zone is a retail company from Montreal with six storefronts and a transactional website. We specialize in decorative items, furniture, lighting and houseware.

Summary: Along with the manager, assistant-managers are captains of the store. Inspiring, organized and proactive, they supervise the sales, visual and back store teams, making sure that they reach their own goals. The magic of the product along with an excellent customer service is their number one goal. As leaders and good communicators, they help their teams develop their abilities to surpass themselves. They are comfortable making decisions, ensuring customer satisfaction without compromising the company’s goals and constraints.

They lead by example with their customer service. Outgoing and good at human relations, they create a special relationship with their customers. As excellent salespeople, they actively contribute to optimizing in-store sales. They aim for excellence.


• Identify and implement strategies and initiatives to achieve and exceed business goals

• Oversee and maintain the customer service standards to the highest possible level

• Communicate professionally and effectively with employees and all services within the company; act as the secondary liaison for corporate communications

• Represent the Zone image through personal and professional appearance

• Have a global vision of the activities and coordinate them

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible schedule to be able to meet the needs of the store and company (working different shifts: evenings, week-ends and holidays)
  • Minimum 1 year management experience or equivalent management experience.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years sale experience
  • Bilingual French / English
