Account Manager


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted August 10, 2019.

The Business Development Representative represents the company for the customers in eastern Ontario.

The role supports high hazardous waste, industrial waste water treatment and industrial and chemical cleaning services; by monitoring files and by promoting and adding different services to target companies and existing customers.

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for leading and managing the complete negotiation and evaluation process of sales Develops new business by analyzing account potential initiating, developing, and closing sales including recommending new applications and sales strategies Develops sales by building relationships, making initial presentations of products and service offerings to potential customers Maintains knowledge of market trends, maintains professional networks (both individuals and organizations) Makes recommendations for subcontractors/partnerships as needed Active participant in negotiations with any potential subcontractor or partner as needed; Represents Veolia at customer site evaluations as needed and provides start up oversight and operational support for awarded contracts Maintains a working knowledge of current applicable laws and regulations Interface with other Veolia Environmental Services organizations both in and outside of North America Traveling to and from clients daily, traveling within the territory and occasional overnight travel for sales meetings (approx 50% of the time) Qualifications College Certificate and/or University Degree in Business Administration, in environmental and or Chemistry, or in another Technical Specialty; 3 to 5 years of related experience; including but not limited to the following services: High Hazardous and Non Hazardous Specialty Waste Services; Water Treatment/Process; High Pressure Water Cleaning, Industrial Dry and Wet; Vacuum Trucks, Industrial Chemical Cleaning; 5 years in Sales Experience in a Senior Sales / Account Manager role; Able to professionally close a negotiation deal, to secure business and meet defined goals; Ability to review, comprehend and negotiate complex legal contracts; Good knowledge of local and provincial Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and policies (Eastern Canada); Excellent Communication skills, Leadership and Autonomy; Knowledge of CRM’s – i.e.
