The Pre-Sales Engineer is an integral role to the success of the team.

The Pre-Sales Engineer will work closely with Sales Leads, Product Management, and Development teams to deliver value propositions, proof of concepts and technical solutions to prospective customers.

This is a permanent full time position including salary, benefits, profit sharing etc.

Tasks and ResponsibilitiesProvide Business Development Demonstration (BD) SupportPrepare and deliver product demonstrations and presentationsProvide tradeshow support – Engage with customers and perform product demonstrations at a booth or in conference roomsAssist in the creation and maintenance of BD presentation materialBuild, setup, maintain, and manage demo systems – including managing the inventory of demo equipment, deploy images / upgrade kits, setup and troubleshoot demo systems (requires familiarity with Linux, Windows and VM technologies and tools)Lead the effort to create and maintain demonstration scenarios and associated demonstration dataDevelop prototype web applications that interact with one or multiple internal APIs for the purpose of BD trials and demos (this requires familiarity with programming languages and HTTP REST/API endpoints)Lead 1-4 week on-site Proof of Concepts (PoCs) or Trials.

Duties include: PoC system administration, technical support and client training / mentoringAct as a first point of contact for BD demo requirements, data sample gathering, and PoC requirements, working with the Sales Lead and end customerBe responsible for the end-to-end Technical Solution during the sales cycleCoordinate closely with Product Management on the creation and documentation of a value propositionRespond to RFPs / RFIsManage proposals for small to medium sized opportunitiesProvide quality assurance for small to medium sized proposalsProvide rapid technical responses to urgent requests for further proposal materialAssist in the creation of other marketing material associated with BD activitiesSkills and Experience RequirementsMinimum eight years of experience with software solutionsA broad base of technical experience and skills including: Enterprise software system administration & maintenance, Linux and Windows operating systems, VMware virtualization layer and programming / scriptingUniversity degree or College diploma in computer science, engineering, information systems, etc.Ability to attain and maintain a top secret security clearanceFamiliarity with computer networking (e.G.

communication protocols), and internet protocol analysisExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proven leadership experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of technical and non-technical stakeholders.Adept at oral presentations and training / mentoring to both large and small groupsExperienced with writing of both technical documents and marketing communicationsInterested and comfortable working on customer fronting activities with people from diverse culturesAbility to work effectively in a team environment, under tight deadlines and stressful conditionsWilling to undertake international travel up to 25% of the time
