The Business Insights and Analytics team is currently looking for an analytical, proactive, strategic thinker to join their team as Financial Analyst
– Affinity.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Insights and Analytics.

Responsibilities
• Provide leadership for the development and completion of a new sales reporting framework/process that will reduce the current high manual efforts involved to produce the weekly/monthly reports.

• Prepare, research and compile the weekly, monthly and quarterly Affinity sales reports
• Prepare commentary on the monthly variance report
• Lead the sales reporting for LIMRA
• Manage sales data for all Affinity products, including Direct Travel, Direct Protection (Health and Dental), Direct Life, Retention, Sponsor Travel, Sponsor Protection, and more
• Develop, compile, and analyze sales reporting to discover trends, explain variances, and present commentary and results to Senior Management
• Analyze and develop ad hoc reporting based on requests and requirements from management and internal business partners.

This will require that the reports being delivered meet or exceed customer expectations for accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

• Coordinating the completion of surveys and ad hoc reporting
• Reengineering routine tasks to speed up efficiency minimize errors and reduce duplication.

• Enhance reporting in order to be more understandable, relevant and comparable.

• Coordinate with other departments so that their reporting reconciles back to other departments.

Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in Finance or related field
• 5 years’ experience or more in a financial analysis/reporting role is preferred
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, and other financial reporting tools (e.g.

Lawson, Cognos, Hyperion, etc.)
• Understanding of Sales environment, Affinity products
