Field Representative

Trimac offers career progression, competitive pay, benefits, and job security; 75 years is a legacy you want to be a part of Location : Hardisty, AB Scedhule : 40-50 hours a week and as needed THE ROLE This role reports to the Area Manager and interacts with Drivers, Dispatchers, Service Centers, internal departments including management, Safety, Human Resources, and key contacts with local customers.

The Field Representative is responsible for supporting the Area Manager in the efficient, safe, and profitable delivery of service to our customers in an assigned designated region.

The Field Representative is accountable for overseeing the integration of new and supervision of existing Drivers to ensure work performance aligns with Trimac safety and operational excellence and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES Building and maintaining relationships with Customers and Drivers Conducting regular site visits with Customers and Drivers Identifying new business opportunities with existing Customers Ensuring site-specific orientation, Safe Work Permits are current and compliant for existing Customers and communicated to Drivers Setting up site-specific orientation with new Customers and Drivers Creating and maintaining location maps and journey management packages Attending ongoing Customer and operations meetings including safety Conducting Field Level Risk Assessments and communicating results Troubleshooting issues regarding service deviations and direct Customer concerns as they arise with both Drivers and Operations As required, gather completed signed tickets (Bill of Ladings BOL) from customer sites Reviewing, assessing, and approving performance, requirements of new Drivers post orientation Liaise with Area Manager in hiring, performance, and termination process for Drivers Managing general day to day office operations Providing accurate information on resource and equipment needs Assisting and supporting with Company Dispatch Ensuring all safe work practices are being monitored and implemented Coordinating Drug & Alcohol processes including pre-hire and post-incident Responding, conducting, and investigating incidents in collaboration with Area Manager and HSSE Communicating mandatory attendance at Quarterly Safety meetings Being accountable for the supply and distribution of appropriate PPE Participating in safety lanes in coordination with HSSE Following up with Drivers on all required and ongoing compliance documentation Champion, train, assist and troubleshoot the utilization of Company-specific technology On-Call per schedule Being flexible and adaptable to complete site-specific duties and tasks as required SKILLS Able to build relationships with Customers and Drivers Able to deal with problems and manage conflict Deal with difficult situations and conversations Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills Able to lead and manage people including coaching and teaching Exceptional customer service skills Ability to champion change Technologically competent Knowledgeable of HSSE policies and Government regulations (NSC, TDG, Dangerous Goods, etc.) are followed by Drivers EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Minimum three (3) years of industry-related experience in the transportation of asphalt, crude oil, condensate and LPG products.

Related business experiences will be considered.

Basic oilfield truck knowledge including how to operate trailers and perform pre and post-trip inspections an asset Knowledge of transportation routes including the basic understanding of grid map, plot and LSD.
