SISIP Financial operates 22 branches across Canada offering guidance and expertise by certified financial planners to assist CAF members and their families with their short and long-term financial goals. SISIP Financial provides a holistic approach to financial planning, investing, insurance and counselling services to the Canadian military community.

THE ROLE

The Practice Leader Financial Planning & Insurance will be responsible for providing guidance, coaching and mentoring to branch operations staff in the provision of insurance advice to CAF members and other eligible clientele/members. The Practice Leader will also define insurance protocols and implement, by client segment and need across the spectrum, the creation of insurance tools/calculators for insurance needs analyses in order to support SISIP branch operations staff. As the technical subject matter expert, lead, develop, evaluate and implement insurance practice strategies and plans to achieve the desired client experience, advisor experience, growth, profitability and other business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field, AND several years of experience as a financial services industry practice leader, financial planner, investment advisor, insurance advisor or a related field

AND

Life and Disability License – Level 2 Canadian Investment Funds Course

Canadian Securities Course Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Financial Planner (F.Pl. in Quebec) designation

Experience

  • In developing, implementing and evaluating financial services business plans and strategies
  • In developing an integrated financial services client experience
  • In the provision of financial planning and investment services
  • In the provision of life and disability insurance services
  • In analyzing client behaviours and consumer trends
  • In analyzing books of business and markets to determine trends and opportunities
  • In relationship management and business development
  • In selling investment and insurance products and services
  • In mentoring and coaching
  • In providing advice and guidance
  • In formulating and delivering technical training on financial planning and insurance services
  • In planning, coordinating, managing and controlling the delivery of financial products and services
  • In conducting compliance, technical, and procedural reviews
  • In using customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • In developing, evaluating and interpreting policies and procedures
  • In change management, an asset

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential or French Essential

Bilingual an asset

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • This position has an assigned location and may allow flexible work options such as remote or hybrid work but the employee must be able to report to the assigned work location at their own cost if required. Remote work may be required depending on health and safety considerations
