Desktop Publisher / Presentation Specialist (12-Month Contract)

The Opportunity: As a brand steward, the desktop publisher is part of KPMG’s National Creative team and our broader NMC (National Marketing & Communications) agency, playing a critical role in supporting the firm’s growth.

The position is at the center of a very fast paced environment and requires the ability to think strategically and respond quickly to changing priorities.

The desktop publisher serves to support the creative development needs for the firm, working collaboratively with our in-house creative team to help develop innovative solutions and elevate our firm’s brand to the next level.

This role will focus on production and quality assurance to final launch.

The candidate will also engage in project management and work with peers within our larger agency counterparts in Digital, Email Marketing, CRM, Communications and Marketing.

The successful candidate will join a fun and fast-paced in-house creative team in an internal agency setting that is collaborative and constantly striving to produce high quality innovative solutions.

Project management, communication and prioritization skills are key.

What you will do At any one time, juggle multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently exercising strong time management skills Create visually compelling presentation decks and templates (PowerPoint), reports, event and marketing collateral that clearly communicate our messaging Design images, charts and infographics to effectively communicate key messages and simplify complex ideas and information Drive efficiency and coordination through the creation of templated files for both print and digital assets Leverage existing guidelines, creative and overarching concepts to prepare and deliver assets for both print and digital outputs Gain the opportunity to collaborate alongside our lead designers and managers to develop innovative solutions from scoping, conceptualization, production, quality assurance to final launch Proofread documents for typographical errors and inconsistencies in layout and end deliverables Accountable for the build and maintenance of working files inside a collaborative file structure across all design software Champion brand standards and tone of voice throughout the production design process to ensure high quality outputs, always consistent with KPMG’s brand Partner cross-functionally with members of the larger marketing team as well as other departments and various stakeholders What you bring to the role University degree or College diploma, preferably in graphic design or related field or a certificate in desktop publishing Minimum 3-5 years’ experience preferably in an agency setting as a production designer/ desktop publisher role Experience with high-volume design workflows Highly technical skill set with an expertise in MS Office applications e.g.

PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.

Comfortable in PC setting Must have advanced skillset developing PPT animations and slide transitions Strong skills in page layout, typography, colour, navigation and information design across print and web Proficiency in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is an asset Experience building, editing, and optimizing print and digital creative files as well as photo-editing assets across various channels Possess solid creative knowledge, consistently bringing innovative solutions and delivering client service excellence Excellent communication skills, ability to clearly explain design solutions and translate client ideas into creative outputs.
