THE ROLE
As the CAF Fitness policies and standards coordinator, you will be collaborating with key stakeholders from the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and Personnel Support Programs (PSP) departments to empower fitness teams across the country. You will act as a subject Matter expert in the programs and services you coordinate and your role will involve developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-informed programs and services that aim to increase the operational and health-related fitness of the CAF. To be successful in this position, you should be a good communicator, writer and possess some background in program research, development, training, implementation, support, and evaluation. Other responsibilities will include supporting the training curriculum for CFMWS Fitness employees.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Sciences, or in a related field and some years of experience in physical fitness program and evaluation administration
Current Certified Personal Trainer (CSEP-CPT) certification, an asset
Current Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP_CEP) OR equivalent certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), an asset
Current Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS), an asset
Experience
In coordinating projects
In planning, coordinating and delivering physical fitness evaluations and programs
In coordinating and developing policies and procedures for physical fitness evaluations, programs, and training
In coordinating marketing and promotional materials for fitness programs and standards
In evaluating physical fitness
In coordinating and conducting workshops, presentations and clinic
In preparing reports and statistics
In applying policies, procedures, and regulations
In conducting physical fitness training sessions

OTHER INFORMATION
This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
