This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.

Responsibilities Under the Manager’s direction, the incumbent will be required to perform diagnostic medical sonograms ensuring proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures.

The job duties are outlined in the position description.

Please note: This position is based at Cape Breton Regional Hospital and will include rotations at other sites.

Qualifications Graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Program Current (or eligible) for registration with NSCMIRTP Current credentialed member of Sonography Canada Current CPR Certification Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties, while working under minimal supervision Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position Good interpersonal and verbal and written skills Comprehension of the technical language in order to be able to review and use manuals and take part in relevant discussions Previous experience is an asset Registration with more than one ultrasound credential is an asset Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred PLEASE NOTE: Applicants relying on education and experience equivalencies must demonstrate such equivalencies in their application.

Hours of Work Long assignment full-time positions; 75 hours biweekly Beginning May 3, 2021 with an expected end date of April 25, 2022 Dates are approximate and subject to change Salary Information $32.1105
