They use technical skills, drawings, schematics, specific welding processes and other documentation to maintain quality and meet company standards.

Hours of Work: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday
– Thursday) 40 Hours Per Week What will you be doing: Fitting and welding a variety of metals according to drawings and specifications including advanced projects (round).

Be accurate, organized and have a methodical approach.

Clear understanding of welding, manufacturing prints, and fit process (layout, Q/A check, Fit, Q/A Check).

Accurately fit and build various sized sub-assemblies using (imperial and metric) within required tolerances.

Grind, clean, and repair own welds from the fitting process, replacing parent metal as require with grinders, scrapers, wire brush and/or chipping hammer.

Follows Cambridge Pro Fab Inc.’s Safe work practices and promote safe work practice.

Assist others as needed.

Field services if required.

Knowledge and capability to polish stainless steel to 4 finish.

Work with new hires training and developing their skill sets.

Purge weld tube.

Operate equipment in a safe and professional manner.

Operate plasma cutter and Oxy-Acetylene torch safely and effectively.

Use of overhead cranes, forklifts, ladders and other equipment as per company procedures.

Safe use of all tools, including but not limited to grinders, welders, torches and hammers.

Utilize the appropriate welding procedure and on the appropriate welding machine for the project you are working on.

Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately in all steps within the process of manufacturing.

Accountable for the proper fit of assigned work within Cambridge Pro Fab or customer tolerances (typically within 1/16” over 3’).

Work closely with quality inspectors coordinating required checks and making required repairs.

Grinds clean and repairs all damage from the fitting process, replacing parent metal as required.

Fitting parts/all types of panels that have been assigned (may be required to lift steel by hand, with overhead crane and/or forklift) ensuing accuracy of all assemblies, sub-assemblies for custom applications.

Weld any job as assigned by the Plant Manager and/or Supervisor.

This may include, but is not limited to working at heights, working within confined spaces and welding in some areas for a prolonged period of time.

The ability to be flexible and agile for welding in any position is required.

Keep up with a fast-paced environment, prepared to change jobs as required to suit customer or company requirements.

Maintain a consistent line of communication between themselves, the Supervisor and/or workers on opposite shifts.

Perform other duties outside the normal scope of their daily tasks for the betterment of the company.

Maintain adequate attendance.

What you bring to Cambridge Pro Fab Inc.

Some of your own tools (minimum requirement) 5 years TIG welding experience is required.

Able to work at heights and in confined spaces.

CWB and TSSA certified and/or able to pass CWB and TSSA testing.

Experience operating tools and equipment such as lift trucks, overhead cranes, scissor lifts, welding and cutting equipment.

Safety conscious work habits.

Accountable and able to work in a team or with minimum supervision overhead cranes would be considered an asset.

Clear understanding of crane rigging and single hoist lifts Clear understanding of fit process (layout, Q.A.

check, fit, Q.A.

check) Familiarity with FCAW, GMAW, GTAW processes in both stainless and carbon applications Able to understand and interpret complex blueprints performing lay out work as per engineering drawings, bill of materials and work orders Effective communication skills (both written & verbal).

Accountable and able to work in a team or with minimum supervision.

Willing to work different shifts and extra hours as required.
