We are growing quickly and are currently in need of an experienced and professional Space Segment Senior Supply Chain Engineer to join our team.As a Space Segment Senior Supply Chain Engineer for the LEO constellation, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the satellite supplier and their sub-tier suppliers deliver as per the contracts.

Initiate, plan (including forecasting procurement requirements), develop and implement procurement strategies in concert with the Space Segment suppliers.This position resides within the LEO Satellite Engineering team, and will support various segment Project Mangers working on the LEO Program.

The ideal candidate has previous experience as a Senior Supply Chain Engineer with strong project management skills and is enthusiastic about being part of a team that is diverse and at the top of its game.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:The responsibilities and range of activities may vary, however the role will include:◦Monitoring the Space Segment suppliers from a sub-contracts perspective with a view to ensuring that the committed deliveries remain on schedule◦Reviewing and assessing the Space Segment schedule updates and reporting the progress to Program Management on a weekly basis◦Performing metrics based analyses which will feed directly into the overall program master schedule◦Liaising with the spacecraft manufacturer and their sub-tier suppliers to understand the Space Segment project deliveries and their inter-dependencies to ensure on-time deliveries◦High proficiency in the use of Primavera or MS Project and JIRA◦Prepare presentations and regular status reports, serving as the main source of information about the project to external teamsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREDSpecialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities◦Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Aerospace is required◦Minimum of 10 years of highly skilled and extensive hands-on Sub-Contracts experience on multi-faceted complex projects◦Sub-Contracts/Procurement/Project management experience in a telecommunication or satellite business environment preferred◦Excellent interpersonal and communications (verbal and written) skills◦The ability to understand changing critical paths at the spacecraft and sub-tier levels and their implications on the overall project◦The ability to effectively interface with other parts of the organization in order to help mitigate late deliveries◦Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications such as SAP and the like◦Familiarity with manufacturing and supply chain management◦Strong working knowledge of sub-contract management, collaboration and productivity tools◦Bilingual in English and French an asset (but not required)DECISION MAKING & SUPERVISION:Decision MakingIn this role, the incumbent will have significant influence on the Space Segment schedule and sub-contract management for the LEO program.

He/she will need to make recommendations and decisions based on their experience.Supervision ExercisedThis role has no direct reports, but will work and interact with multi-disciplinary engineering, contracts, legal, and commercial teams.WORKING CONDITIONS:◦Working conditions are typical of an office environment.◦Occasional travel, including international travel may be required.The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
