For more information, visitwww.Telesat.Com.PURPOSE OF JOB:This is an entry level positionAssess the performance of the Telesat LEO constellation using various use cases and deployment scenarios derived from planned customer deployments.Develop and maintain system analysis models of the Telesat LEO constellation communication systemMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Use state-of-the-art modeling techniques and software tools (using Matlab or other script language) to do detailed performance analysis of the Telesat LEO Constellation performance in terms of data throughput, latency, satellite hand-over performance, availability based on equipment performance specifications.Participate to the development of the system model software tool using Matlab or other script language along with advanced optimization tools.Document performance assessments in technical notesInterface with product management to define use cases and performance evaluations required for potential customer network implementation, and model the performance achievable using internally developed tools.Support detailed studies on system performance validating the concept of operation with respect to the interface between satellite and ground systems.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:B.

in Electrical, Computer or System EngineeringKnowledge of radio communication systems and/or satellite communication desirableSpecialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Creative problem-solver with thorough attention to detail.Advanced Matlab coding skillsHighly collaborative team-player who can quickly earn the confidence of co-workers and teammates.Excellent oral and written communication skillsAn aptitude for and interest in complex technologyFluent in English, written and oral.DECISION MAKING & SUPERVISION:Decision MakingIn this role, the incumbent will issue recommendations and have influence on the system design of the Telesat LEO system.Supervision ExercisedThis role has no direct reports.WORKING CONDITIONS:Normal office environment.The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP).
