The incumbent’s primary focus is to implement, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance corporate computer systems and related security solutions which are integral to the day to day operation of the company.

This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that system provisioning and maintenance is consistent with company goals, industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Main ResponsibilitiesMaintain core IT infrastructure and systemsDesign, plan and implement IT infrastructure and systemsWindows Server administration including Active Directory, File Services, PowerShell, Group Policy ObjectsVirtual Machine (VM) system managementStorage administration and backup system managementPatch management, systems updatesIdentity Management and multifactor authenticationOffice 365 platform management including Azure AD, Exchange online, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Office 365 groupsConfigure and develop cloud computing solutionsImplement and manage critical desktop security solutionsImplement and maintain endpoint anti-virus & anti-malware solutionsCoordinate systems upgrades and configuration changesAnalyze and troubleshoot system and network problemsPlan and coordinate assigned projectsAs a second tier support resource, identify troubleshoot and mitigate hardware and software problems identified by the corporate HelpdeskManagement of incidents and user requestsPlan, monitor and prepare reports on key systemsPerform hardware & software auditsProduct research and evaluationDay to day operational supportEducation & Experience RequiredA Diploma or Degree in a relevant area of study with a preference for Computer Science together with demonstrated operational network related experienceMinimum of 5 years in Information Technology (with a related University Degree); orMinimum of eight years in Information Technology (with a three year College Diploma)Specialized Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAzure platform administrationOffice 365 administrationWorking technical knowledge of network, PC, Server and platform operating systemsWorking technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols and standards including Active DirectoryIdentity management using Microsoft Identity Manager and AzureAD ConnectStrong knowledge of virtual machines (VMWare), cloud networking, compute, storage and network componentsSolid understanding of the Windows based server environmentsSolid understanding of Microsoft Office products and workstation configurationHands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent problem solving skillsStrong interpersonal and organizational skillsParticipation in group pager rotationAlthough limited, the employee must be able to travel to corporate facilitiesThe successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP).
