Talent Acquisition Specialist

This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted October 1, 2021.

Support the recruitment process by helping develop recruitment strategies, post job ads, screen candidates and manage the interview process to ensure a positive candidate experience.

We seek an experienced professional to fill the role of Talent Acquisition Specialist Our Talent Acquisition Specialist will join a dedicated Human Resources team.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, your role will work directly with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, post job ads, screen candidates and manage the interview process to ensure a positive candidate experience.

This is a fixed term (12 months), full time position.

The Opportunity Work with Hiring Managers to provide an efficient and effective end-to-end recruitment process as per the St Barbara Recruitment System.

Develop recruitment forecast for each department, including full time, contract and student roles Designing specific talent attraction strategies for current operations and new project resourcing requirements.

Managing all sourcing channels and being the champion for the NS Operations talent community in LiveHire (recruiting system).

Assisting with talent sourcing strategies and implementing plans to increase the pipeline of talent for future business growth, e.g.

University Vacation Programs, Graduate Development Programs, Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Apprenticeships etc.

Managing relationships with agency suppliers.

Planning and participating in industry activities to expand candidate reach, i.e.

careers fairs, First Nations Career Fairs.

Scheduling background checks and medicals and all administrative tasks associated with the recruitment process Tracking recruitment statistics.
