This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted April 16, 2019.

The Service Desk Analyst will be focused on providing first level support to our internal and external customer base.

The candidate must have strong technical and problem solving skills, coupled with good communications skills.

The position also requires shift work (8 hour shifts) on a 5/24 basis.The following activities are to be performed by the consultant in the course of this engagement:* Troubleshoot incidents and support internal and external customer base* Incident and Problem management* IT functions such as reporting, trending, and analysis* performing daily operational procedures in support of nationwide client systems* Various health and systems checks* Setting up workstations and installing applications* Resetting user accounts for Active Directory, phone system, etc* 1st Level Support* Monitoring, in real-time, critical system components Qualifications* 3+ years of prior experience in Information Technology* Must be able to work a 5/24 shift schedule rotation* Bilingual (French and English)* ITIL foundation is desirable* Demonstrates analytical, organizational, planning skills; oral and written communication skills* Strong technical and problem solving skills* Skill in coordinating activities, evaluating issues, and establishing priorities.* Ability to assume responsibility with minimal supervision* Call Centre experience* Strong customer service orientation* Some background with Mainframe IBM Mainframe; TSO CICS* Familiar with a Microsoft Environment Active Directory, MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Visio)* Familiar with IP Networking conceptsFederal Secret Clarence is required.About TEKsystems :We’re partners in transformation.
