This means working from a Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada office within a regional or national headquarters building or telework from home.

The employee could be expected to perform all functions of the positions remotely but may report to a manager who is working in another location.

Intent of the process The intent is to staff two (2) positions on an indeterminate basis located in Gatineau, Qc with the Audit and Evaluation sector at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC).

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may also be established to staff similar or identical positions at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various locations, linguistic profiles as well as tenures (term, indeterminate, acting, assignment or secondment), and/or security clearance, which may vary according to the position being staffed.

Positions to be filled: 2 Information you must provide In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications) EDUCATION: A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce, economics or some other specialty relevant to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

The term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.

A public or private institution that has been given authority to grant degrees, diplomas, and other credentials by a public or private act of a provincial/territorial legislature or through a government-mandated quality assurance mechanism.

For greater certainty, also included are institutions authorized to grant specific academic credentials for specific academic programs.

EXPERIENCE: Significant and recent experience in conducting all phases of internal audit engagements (i.e.

planning, conducting, reporting).

Internal audit engagements must meet the definition used by the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Significant and recent experience in providing supervisory review of audit deliverables.

Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Significant is defined as a period of at least two (2) years.

Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications) ASSET EDUCATION: A recognized professional accounting designation (i.e.

CMA, CGA, CA, CPA).

A recognized internal audit certification such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).

ASSET EXPERIENCE: Experience working on Indigenous issues.

Experience conducting internal audits of federal government departments.

Experience supervising the work of consultants.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within Canada.

Willingness and ability to work overtime on occasion.
