Senior Analyst, Vendor Management

To learn more about CIBC, please visit Job Description The Senior Analyst, Vendor Management is responsible for completing day-to-day vendor management and oversight activities for vendors across the CIBC’s technology operations department.

The role applies comprehensive knowledge and skills to prepare, schedule and facilitate regular business reviews, serving as the liaison between Line of Business stakeholders and outside suppliers.

The Senior Analyst, Vendor Management makes decisions on their own work methods to monitor assigned supplier relationships and maintain awareness of contracts.

The role exercises independent judgement within defined procedures, analyzing supplier financials, spend and performance data and performing follow-up activities to ensure adherence to service level objectives in partnership with internal teams.

In addition, the role works with the Line of Business lead and other stakeholders on ad hoc research and reports required for information reported to senior management.

How You’ll Succeed Communication
– You are highly skilled at both written and oral communication.

You can effectively articulate issues / recommendations via your analysis.

You are skillful using Microsoft’s suite of products.

Vendor Governance
– Track and enforce key contract terms including service level commitments, pricing, and annual contractual targets and participate in vendor meetings on a regular basis.

– Prepare regular contract change order and service requests activity reports, spend analysis reports, and dashboard reporting.

Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting.

– Establish reporting and monitoring mechanisms with the vendor Who You Are You have a bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology Management and/or Business (or equivalent 2-4 years work experience)
– MBA or Financial Designation such as a CPA,CMA, CA is an asset.

You have excellent MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint skills; any experience or exposure with Tableau, Jira, Confluence, Cloud, contracts, and Benchmarking will be an added advantage.

You can demonstrate experience in: Problem Solving with knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems.

You also have experience in Relationship Management with an ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers.

You give meaning to data: You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information.

You have experience in analytics and using data to convey your ideas, and you are skillful using Microsoft’s suite of products particularly Excel (advanced skills) and Tableau Software Vendor Management
– you have strong negotiation skills, including managing contracts, terms/conditions and service level agreements (SLAs), experience with contract interpretations, risk assessment tools and follow-ups with service owners and technical staff Finance and Accounting
– You have the knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis and reporting.

Support in validation/ financial analysis of service change requests and contracts You understand that success is in the details
