Security engineer – sa&a

This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted December 1, 2019.

We are currently seeking a Security Engineer SA&A for Ottawa, ON Canada.

Experience with Government of Canada Security Assessment and Authorization process and produce SA&A deliverables for cloud based solutions.

Experience in managing security controls across different cloud models SaaS, IaaS, PaaS and Hybrid environments.

Experience producing Enterprise security architectures and frameworks.

Reviews, interprets, and guides the implementation of controls to satisfy regulatory and organization contractual requirements related to Cyber Security (ITSG 33, PBMM, Cloud Security guidelines, etc.) and the protection of privacy information such as Privacy Act, Access to Information, PIPEDA and GDPR.

coordinate with management and staff to assist them with efforts to maintain compliance with Cyber Security requirements.

Participates in the strategic planning process to transform the security architecture as threats, regulatory requirements and the business changes.

Providing expertise and guidance on the application and operation of all types of security controls, including legislative and/or regulatory requirements, such as data protection and software copyright law.

Developing an overall cybersecurity program aligning with industry frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST 800-171, ITSG-33, etc.) and best practices.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in service now platform.Security Clearance: Must have, or be able to qualify for, a government security clearance.Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology.
