Modis Canada is currently seeking a Security Administrator (ACSO) for an exciting internal opportunity in our local branch in Ottawa, Ontario.

Security Administrator – Alternate Company Security Officer The Security Administrator – Alternate Company Security Officer is responsible for processing and maintaining security clearance information, managing the Requests for Visit (RFVs) and assisting with other security related tasks as required.

Assists with administering all Security related requests and compliance and assists the Company Security Officer (CSO) whenever possible.Job SummaryESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Administer the security clearance process.
·Liaise with Consultants to submit compliant and complete personnel security clearance requests
·Prepare and submit Requests for Visit (RFV) documentation
·Liaise with Sales, Recruiting, Consultants, and the client contracting authorities to ensure accurate and timely submissions of RFVs, Facility Security Clearances (FSC), Private Sector Organization Screenings (PSOS), and Security Requirements Check Lists (SRCL)
·Update database records with submissions, notes, and current expiry dates on clearances, RFVs and controlled goods on a daily basis.
·Ensure security information is safeguarded at all times and no unauthorized personnel is allowed access to sensitive information
·Ensure renewals/updates are submitted in a timely manner to ensure enough lead time for Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) to process different levels of clearances.
·Maintain and update security request tracking spreadsheet with current information, respecting priority level.
·Work with security team to manage all requests from the security mailbox.
·Create and maintain security files following security procedures.
·Compile security clause and statement of work information for contractor agreements.
·Back-up CSO for all security requests as needed.

·Must maintain a high level of confidentiality due to sensitive and possible classified consultant/client data, contact information and issues arising from handling calls/visitors/employees.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:2+ years’ work experience, some of which must have been in a security and administration capacity, preferably within a similar industry.Completion of Community College or equivalent preferred.Definite asset if candidate already holds valid reliability or secret level security clearance; must be able to obtain Secret level clearance at minimum.Bilingualism (French/English) an asset.

SKILLS & OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS:Ability to provide an excellent customer service experienceStrong communication skills both verbal and in writingStrong organization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize workload.Team player attitude and willingness to take directionAbility to build strong relationships externally with consultants and clients as well as internally with colleagues.
·Ability to work within a large corporate environmentAbove average computer literacy including MSOffice (particularly Excel and Outlook), SharePoint, and strong web navigation skills.
