Job Description Our Ottawa Infrastructure Engineering division is currently looking for an Intermediate Engineer, Building Mechanical, for its National Capital Region office, to act as Project manager, technical specialist and design professional.

In addition, this role will manage client relationships while delivering exceptional engineering services in a fast paced and growing National Capital Region Group.

The ideal candidate has demonstrated a growing exposure to management within their current role and is interested in continue to grow in their management skills while continuing to deliver projects and technical work.Responsibilities:o Developing preliminary design and engineering specificationso Preparing detailed design calculations and layoutso Coordinate with other disciplines in planning and executing project taskso Guiding and directing junior engineers and designerso Developing and updating project specificationso Developing material takeoffs and cost estimateso Ensuring all completed work conforms to contract requirementso Conducting site visits and inspectionso Managing services during construction actively working with contractors and owners to execute the project o Develop feasibility studieso Maintaining and growing existing client relationships o Participating in Business Development in the National Capital Regiono Participating and contributing to Business Unit Decisions, resourcing and resource schedulingo Taking a leadership role with respect to project delivery and in general business practices of the business unitRequirements:o Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering specializing in Building Mechanical and energy management o Professional Engineer in Ontario (PEO) mandatory/ Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) an asseto 5 to 10 years of experience in Building Mechanics sectoro Proven experience on public works (ministries, crown corporations and federal government bodies), mandatoryo Market knowledge of the National Capital Region and local industryo Ability to obtain required security clearanceo Knowledge of Revit MEP an asseto Knowledge and working experience in alternative project delivery (DB, DBFOM, P3, etc) an asseto Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines;o Ability to work in a teamo Bilingualism French and English (written and spoken) an asset Our Ottawa Infrastructure Engineering division is currently looking for an Intermediate Engineer, Building Mechanical, for its National Capital Region office, to act as Project manager, technical specialist and design professional.
