Insurance Administrator


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted July 24, 2018.

Insurance and client relations specialist required for our private sector client, an insurance firm located in the downtown Ottawa area.
This position is perfect for a professional who is detail oriented, are searching for a long-term career opportunity, and someone who wants to become apart of a close-knit team.
The ideal individual will have previous experience with the insurance industry, have strong interpersonal skills, possess experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and have their CEBS or CHRP.

Roles and Responsibilities
Request group benefit quotes from various insurance carriers to market existing groups and attain new business.
Provide quote results to Account Executives including comparison of rates and plans from each carrier.
Confirm accuracy of plan specifications on newly acquired and existing business.
Review contracts and booklets after implementation.
Prepare renewal reports and send renewal notifications to clients.
Assist with negotiations of renewal rates.
Process enrolments, terminations and employee changes.
Resolve plan billing, administration enquiries and maintain records.
Qualifications and Experience
Must have experience in benefits administration or group insurance products.
Strong experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Have exceptional English communication skills; oral and written.
Must have strong client service skills and keen attention to detail.
Strong asset to have CEBS or CHRP designation.
