– Nature of the position: Coordinate all activities related to human resources to ensure employee engagement and motivation, continuous and stable operations and the sustainability of the business.

– Key function(s)
– task(s) essential to the fundamental operations of the company: Develop, implement and coordinate policies, programs and effective tools for the acquisition, development and retention of the workforce; Coordinate staff recruiting, hiring and integration activities; Develop and manage a contingency plan and a succession plan; Implement and manage the staff evaluation system for maximal employee engagement and continuous improvement of skills; Manage the occupational health and safety program and lead the committee; Complete assigned projects following the annual strategic planning; Ensure regular communications with employees via internal memos.

– prioritized task(s) for the position: Act as an advisor to managers on labor standards, the application of collective agreements, disputes, etc.; Lead and/or participate in disciplinary actions according to the company rules; Establish the training needs of the different departments; Ensure effective management of personnel files.

– Education required for the position: Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or any other relevant university training; Training and experience in occupational health and safety; Experience in a unionized environment.

– Experience required for the position: 5 years experience in human resources management in a generalist role and in a unionized environment; Work experience in the manufacturing sector would be a major asset; All relevant experiences will be taken into consideration.

– Skill (s) required for the position: Highly developed listening and communication skills; Excellent level of English both written and oral Functional level of French both written and oral (an asset) 9
