Expense claims and compliance officer

Adecco is currently recruiting for an Expense Claims and Compliance Officer.

This is approximately a 4-month contract role to work with our Crown Corporation client located in Ottawa.The Expense Claims and Compliance Officer will control, manage, maintain and administer all executive employee expense claims, and perform comprehensive audits to ensure all employee expense claims.The Expense Claims and Compliance Officer will have the following responsibilities: Protect highly confidential data contained on executive employee expense claims; Manage, administer and review all support documentation provided to support executive claims; Monitor the integrity, confidentiality and the availability of all executive employee expense claim transactions in SAP; Generate reports of employee expense claims in SAP to identify unusual transactions; Prepare monthly reconciliations of executive employee claims processed; Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies and anomalies daily; Deal directly with executives or executive administrative assistants to resolve issues with executive employee expense claims; Provide guidance and assistance on entering pre-approvals and or expense claim details in the travel system; Ensure that all outstanding employee expense claims have been processed; Liaise with various stakeholder groups (HR, Compliance, Relocation etc); Provide feedback and recommendations on new methods and/or procedures; Perform verification and reporting on a sample of other employee claims; Assist internal and external auditors with audits on the executive employee expense claims including overall policy compliance; Maintain significant discretion, as the incumbent will primarily be dealing with employee.The Expense Claims and Compliance Officer must meet the following mandatory requirements: Completed post-secondary, preferably in a related field OR a combination of equivalent professional experience and training experience; 1 to 3 years of relevant functional experience; One or more years of experience in a unionized environment an asset; Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs; Strong experience with Microsoft Excel; Experience auditing expense Claims; Enrolment in specific designation and or certifications programs may be required for certain positions (e.g.
