How will you make an impact?

You will be responsible for performing tasks and duties that ensure process equipment are maintained in good order under Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) guidelines and to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

The position is integral to achieving Patheonu2019s customersu2019 requirements for cost effective, high quality products and services delivered on schedule.

All millwright tasks are to be planned and performed to ensure Right First Time (RFT) and On Time Delivery (OTD).

Shift schedule: Monday u2013 Friday u2013 weekly rotation.

Days: 7 AM u2013 3:30 PM, Afternoon: 3 PM u2013 11:30 PM and Night: 11 PM u2013 7:30 PM What will you do?

Essential Functions: Follow standardized industrial millwright and safety procedures to perform the following tasks: Participates in TPM (Total Production Maintenance) huddles and initiatives.

Conducts on-time Preventive Maintenance (PM) execution.

Timely and effective trouble shooting, repair and overhaul tasks on all equipment.

Progress Work Orders (W/O) in a timely manner to reduce and sustain to a minimum backlog.

Recommends and or implements actions to prevent repeat causes of equipment downtime Fabricates auxiliary equipment including stands, platforms, etc.

as directed.

Participates in process improvement by recommending Preventative Maintenance and Quality improvements.

Utilizes lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) Oxy-acetylene welding.

Welds materials including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, braising and silver solder.

Participates in investigating equipment malfunctioning and damages.

Education: Licensed to practice as Industrial Millwright (433A) is a requirement for this position.

College Certificate/Diploma Experience: 2 years millwright experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or food industries or equivalent CMMS program experience is desirable Equivalency : Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Competencies: In this role it is essential to perform shift work including weekend shifts and during plant shutdown.

Shift work is based on business demands and may vary as business changes.

Proficiency with the English language.

Attention to detail and quality of work.

Proactive and organized approach to completing tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.

Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) Regulations.

Ability to deal confidently with internal and external clients.

Good working knowledge of electronics and pneumatics is desirable.

Physical Requirements: Work requires moderate physical exertion.

Regularly lifts medium weight objects by hand.

May require recurring bending, crouching, stretching, or reaching.

Or may frequently operate equipment, including keyboard and must walk, sit, or stand immobile for prolonged periods.

Typically located in a comfortable indoor area, in a total productive maintenance environment (TPM).

There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odours, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.

Frequent need to distinguish among or interpret a variety of sensory inputs that require attention to decode and identify.
