Coordinator Conservation and Wildlife

City of Stirling

This is a Contract position in Ottawa, ON posted September 18, 2022.

Our Team The Conservation and Wildlife service area is responsible for the conservation, protection and enhancement of natural ecosystems and biodiversity for all its inhabitants, including people.

This includes the management and care of the City’s extensive conservation reserves (including coast, bushland and wetlands) and the engagement in non-conservation reserves to increase habitat for local wildlife.

The service area is responsible for providing opportunities to connect with nature for all generations.

This includes engagement with internal and external stakeholders, Government agencies and community.

The Role The Coordinator will manage a skilled team of staff and contractors, with the assistance and support of a network of Friends Group conservation volunteers.

The role is directly responsible for strategic planning on conservation related matters and the development of plans, programs, advice and Council reports.

This is a permanent full time Level 9 Inside Workforce Agreement position and attracts a salary of $110,672 – $116,449 per annum plus superannuation.
