Our mission is to craft a better tomorrow by connecting people with water and energy.We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Sales Representative-Mechanical Systems This role is based in the Ottawa region and reports to our Sales Manager, Ontario Mechanical Products.Do not miss the opportunity to join a broad family of people-centric professionals, leaders with vision and rapid problem solvers, entrepreneurs in spirit and status quo-fighters!Job SummaryWe are currently looking for a new technical representative who will be responsible for maintaining and handling IPEX’s mechanical systems sales with distributor clients in accordance with objectives set for pricing and terms and conditions.

In addition, the technical representative will also expand existing relationships with contractors using our products and develop new markets for the Ottawa, Gatineau and Kingston regions.Principal ResponsibilitiesPromote IPEX products through visits to engage with clients and to build on positive relationships, maintain contacts and gain relevant industry information.Build long-term business relationships with mechanical construction contractors, distributors, engineers, and reinforce their dedication to our products and services.Establish a detailed understanding of market and competitive activities.

Through involvement with our different partners, identify solutions needed to increase sales in each region and in our different market segments.Assess customer satisfaction levels to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of our business relationships.Effectively position and differentiate IPEX products and solutions to stand out in a competitive environment. Act as a technical advisor for customers in terms of products and rules/codes governing the industry.Prepare presentations to provide relevant information on our products and services to clients and establish their needs.

Participate in events such as information fairs, business meetings and other promotional activities.Research and contact potential new clients, keep track of new trends and new market information in order to develop sales opportunities.Regularly connect with customer service, sales staff and management to share vital information to optimize operations of our sales department and meet expectations of our customers.Requirements5 to 10 years of industry related experience.Knowledge of plumbing and contractor distribution networks.Bilingual verbal and written.University degree and/or training in building services (technologist) and/or credentials as an engineer are assets.Ability to work under pressure and according to a set agenda; always punctual.Handle a high level of customer requests, remain informed of market trends and anticipate potential problems.Excellent presentation and social skills, ability to excel in a sales team environment.Use of sound judgment and analysis when identifying client needs and alternative solutions for situations outside existing policies and procedures.
