Maintenance Technician

If so read on about our exciting new opportunity as a: Maintenance Technician The Maintenance Technician is accountable for the overall maintenance of the Company’s Head Office facilities, its equipment and grounds.

Duties & Responsibilities Ensure all Head Office buildings and related equipment / furniture are properly maintained by: Managing the preventative maintenance (PM) program, which includes Overseeing all contractor repairs and renovations to ensure safe work practices Ensuring cleaning functions are completed in a timely manner, including Assisting the Procurement Team Collect and dispose of any garbage from the grounds surrounding the EPC facility Drive Floor scrubber during defined schedule Sweep office common area as required Wipe / clean door handles and doors on pre-determined weekly schedule 2.Provide facilities support to Head Office staff by: Stocking photocopy rooms / areas with boxed paper Ensuring appropriate boardrooms and warehouses are properly stocked with water Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, working with the Procurement Team when orders are required Organizing office and workstation moves, including repainting and moving furniture Completing miscellaneous minor repairs such as hanging pictures, fixing drawers, small plumbing issues Moving boxes and furniture as requested 3.

Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment at all times by: Actively participating in good house-keeping and a maintaining a well-organized workplace Participate in Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings Complying with all Company and provincial legislation including Health & Safety regulations Identifying and reporting any potential health and safety issues / hazards; escalating as needed Assisting the Procurement Team to source and purchase health & safety supplies Completing monthly Workplace Safety Inspections and ensuring repairs / concerns arising from inspections are addressed with the appropriate departments Assisting with fire drills and maintaining the Fire Information Box Oversee heat relief for Warehouse staff by ensuring water / Gatorade is purchased and readily available Shipping health & safety supplies to branch locations upon request Installing new signage, posters and equipment as needed 4.

Ensure the safety of Company premises by: Assisting with the administration of building security systems Overseeing the key box to ensure access is limited and secure Changing keypad locks as needed Experience, Skills & Competencies 1
– 3 years working in a warehouse environment 1
– 3 years of related experience Mechanically inclined with demonstrated experience performing related functions Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to estimate time and cost in order to determine the supplies needed for maintenance and repair projects Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and WHMIS an asset Computer knowledge, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook an asset Good communication skills (listening to follow instructions, conveying information to internal and external parties) Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training an asset This opportunity WON’T last long, so apply TODAY If you are experiencing technical difficulties or need assistance with your online application please contact us at careerseastpenncanada.
