Global Events Manager

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and experienced individual to support the planning and delivery of our IoT global event portfolio. The ideal candidate has proven experience delivering on-time and to budget across in-person, virtual, and hybrid settings. This individual will work in partnership with internal stakeholders and eternal partners /agencies to that will ultimately contribute to the achievement of our brand reputation, demand generation, and revenue goals.

What You Will Do

  • End to end planning and execution of the Global IoT event program including in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. (Medium to large scale industry events, key proprietary and networking events)
  • Manage multiple, complex events and tasks in a collaborative fast paced environment
  • Drive project management schedules and best practices to deliver detailed workback schedules and facilitates decision-making.
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities within each project, with a clear understanding of escalation paths to remove roadblocks.
  • Liaise and build positive relationships with internal and external business partners including Sales, Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, event vendors and agencies.
  • Define clear objectives for each event and prepare detailed post event reporting to support return on investment analysis.
  • Continually review, analyze, and report on data that impacts BlackBerry QNX major customer events to enable better decisions on content and promotions
  • Manage internal communications and enablement that influence the registration and growth of our webinars and events
  • Support the development and execution of the social media program as needed

Who We Are Looking For?

  • Minimum of 7 years successful and innovative global event experience in a B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment for strategic events.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience with virtual webinar /event platforms (ON24) and CRM tools (Salesforce)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented, customer driven, organized with attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills that are effective across all levels of the organization.
  • Social media experience an asset.
  • Technical aptitude is a plus.
