This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted February 23, 2021.

OverviewAs DNA Genotek’s Marketing Lead for our Viral Screening and Surveillance products, you will be responsible for determining and executing the positioning and go to market strategies for our portfolio of products and services.

You will work closely with our sales teams, including sales managers, sales operations, and product teams (marketing and product management) in the development of the necessary sales enablement tools and documents and create demand generation programs for both the diagnostic and viral screening markets.

The role will initially focus on marketing our self-collection products for COVID-19 testing but will quickly evolve to emerging products for other respiratory viruses.The Marketing Lead is responsible for developing targeted messaging and for defining and executing strategic marketing campaigns.

Specific responsibilities include defining and developing key marketing projects and deliverables focused on specified target markets (diagnostic laboratories, clinical and research organizations, and public health agencies among others); they will assist in allmarketing related activities including market research, events, campaigns and content/sales tools developmentResponsibilitiesMarket AwarenessReview of industry, US and global, to determine shifts in the market.Work with the DNA Genotek product and sales teams to identify targeted marketing plans that promote our products/services within diagnostic labs, clinical and research organizations, and public health agencies.Timely feedback sessions with both the sales team and the customer base to clearly understand perceived positioning of DNA Genotek and our competitor’s products (marketing effectiveness).Identify new prospects and new market opportunities by researching industry trends and positioning against new market competitors.Market Positioning of ProductsDevelop sales tools and positioning by market (e.G.

competitive positioning, values and benefits statements).

Ability to communicate highly technical and scientific material effectively.Work with the Product and Sales teams to identify a targeted annual marketing plan that promotes the product portfolio in conjunction with other DNA Genotek strategies.Develop marketing strategy/planning for the product portfolio.Create content for marketing collateral and other market specific sales support materials (web content, data sheets, FAQ, qualifying tools, RFP responses, advertorials, blog content, nurture campaign content).Understand the regulatory landscape that affects diagnostic products (US, Canada and global) and be able to operate effectively within this regulated environment.Market GrowthDevelop and execute strategic plan and programs to create market mindshare and to generate qualified sales leads.Define demand generation programs to support growth in collection kits for both COVID-19 and emerging products for other respiratory viruses.Work with the demand generation team to create a demand program that develops highly qualified MQLs and SQLs.Utilize strong analytical skills and thoroughness to track and report on sales and marketing programs.

Utilize metrics to track performance and identify areas to improve effectiveness of future initiatives.Other duties deemed appropriate for a Marketing Lead.QualificationsEDUCATION:University degree or college diploma in life sciences as well as experience in a marketing role is essential.

Experience working in the diagnostic market or in public health is a strong asset.EXPERIENCE:5+ years of marketing experience in a B2B environment.
