This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted August 10, 2018.

Principal Duties

The Event Planner is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the event, as outlined below:

 

Liaise with event speakers to provide all logistic details with their involvement in the event

Work with various venues to ensure that all arrangements properly reflect the requirements of the event

Liaise with several external and internal suppliers to prepare logistical details for all events

Responsible for the smooth and professional delivery of the event in various cities across Canada

Track and prepare financial summary reports while ensuring budgets are adhered to

Responsible for accounting and expenses tied to the event

Manage sponsor relationships

Prepare written customer communications

Independent business travel within Canada

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of three years in event planning including some experience with business or corporate conferences Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of internal and external contacts, with a strong focus on customer service.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle information of a confidential and sensitive nature.
Experience managing relationships with external clients and customers.
Solid work ethic, commitment to producing high quality work, and attention to detail.
Proven ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, changing priorities in a multi-tasking environment.
A self starter with the demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision Ability to travel within Canada is required Bilingualism a definite asset
