Bilingual Information Officer


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted December 4, 2018.

Seeking two 6 Communications Coordinators for a great contract with one of excelHR’s top government clients. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. Our client is looking to interview and conduct written and oral tests within the next week. This role would then start January 7th, 2019 and would be until at least December 2019.

Roles and Responsibilities
Deliver and disseminate the department’s full range of business and consumer products and services mainly by email and telephone, in both official languages, to all internal and external clients including business owners and all levels of government.
Identify client’s data requirements and recommends appropriate products and services that meet their needs.
Developing communications materials and assisting with projects and liaison activities
Prepare and deliver subject matter trainings to colleagues in order to support the group’s continuous learning and training program.
Support websites by providing internal and external clients with advice on the availability of consumer and business information as well as the most effective ways to research and access this information.
Implement improvements to the internal knowledge base including frequently asked questions published on the Department’s Internet sites, including contacts, policies and procedures for client self-service.
Develop/edit knowledge database documents for accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience in written and oral enquiries/correspondence in both French and English
5 years of customer service experienceEducation:
A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in communications or in a relevant field
Fluency in both official languages Valid enhanced security clearance
