– Temporary Full-time (05252021-2) Toronto, ON, CA Posted: 5/25/2021 8:34:24 AM Research Technician Sunnybrook Research Institute (fully affiliated with the University of Toronto) has an opening for a temporary full-time, Research Technician in the laboratory of Dr.

David Andrews.

The position will be available for 1 year contract with possibility for renewal.

Skills and Qualifications: Prior experience as a technician in a biochemistry and/or molecular biology laboratory with diverse scientific interests; knowledge in ”biophysics” is preferred Essential experience includes: Analytical laboratory methods such as spectroscopy, protein purification, enzyme assays.

Molecular biology skills required include plasmid DNA preparation, PCR, protein expression and purification.

Excellent record keeping and the ability to perform contract research for collaborations with pharmaceutical companies Must be able to work as part of a team and within a core facility.

Position will require ordering and lab management.
