AccessNow: Logistics Coordinator


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted July 22, 2021.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it…is to help us map the accessibility of the world.One billion people live with a disability around the world today, yet nobody really knows how accessible, or rather inaccessible, our cities actually are.

It’s time for some answers so we’re going to rate our cities across Canada; everything from restaurants, cafes and stores, parks and trails and more.What you’ll be doing and How you’ll do it As a Logistics Coordinator, you’ll be on the on-the ground support to your Community Captain and Access Agents.

You’ll be tasked with supporting people with lived experience of disability as you navigate streets of your city together.

You’ll get the chance to explore your city, flex your problem-solving skills, and promote and educate your local community about accessibility.In addition, you’ll get the chance to map your local community.

Using the AccessNow app, you will help review the accessibility of places for millions of people with disabilities in Canada.

Every review added is one more instance of advocacy highlighting to the world what accessibility could mean, and getting closer to answering the question How accessible are the places where we live, work, and play?RequirementsCanada is big.
