For more information, visit www.Telesat.Com.PURPOSE OF JOBAs a Cloud System Administrator, you will provide technical expertise in support of the Telesat LEO Cloud and Platform Team.

This includes providing support for applications and our hybrid cloud.

You will work in collaboration with other teams to support the development process in enhancing the solutions to support enterprise grade performance, availability, security, compliance, and cost management.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Implement, maintain and troubleshoot the hybrid cloud platform built around public cloud and on-premises private cloud.Provide application support for our DevOps toolchain.

(ex: Gitlab, Jfrog Artifactory, Atlassian Jira and Jama Connect).Find areas where you can automate routine deployment, administration and monitoring responsibilities.Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they escalate into problems.Education & Experience RequiredBachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent practical experience.Production level experience with Microsoft Azure, GCP or AWS.At least 2 years of experience in an Application Support roleAt least 2 years of experience working with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)At least 2 years of experience working in a Linux environment.Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform is considered an asset.Familiarity with Configuration Manager tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt and Packer is considered an asset.Creative problem-solving skills and strong analytical and decision-making skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong written and oral English communication skillsDECISION MAKING & SUPERVISION:Decision MakingIn this role, the incumbent will have influence on the architecture of the platform and infrastructure for the LEO program.

They will need to make recommendations and decisions based on their experience.Supervision ExercisedThis role has no direct reports, but will work and interact with multi-disciplinary engineering, contracts, legal, and commercial teams.The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP).
