Project Manager


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted May 28, 2018.

We are seeking Senior Project Managers for a long term contract opportunity with our Federal Government client. Our client requires Project Managers to provide the Management team with support in consulting on: tools, guidance, methodologies, and processes necessary to achieve project success with high-value Capital Projects ($50mil+)

Qualifications and Experience

– Must be currently certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) in good standing.
– Must have at least ten (10) years of experience as a Project Manager, and three (3) years at a Senior level.
– Must have worked at least two (2) years, within the past five (5) years, managing projects in the Government of Canada.
– Must have at least three (3) years of experience using Microsoft Project or Project Server.
– Must have experience managing projects during the development, implementation, and/or operations start-up.
– Must have exercised budget forecasting, tracking and control through all stages of a project lifecycle.
– Should have experience developing: Statements of Work; Project Feasibility Documents; Business Cases; Project Charters; Project Status Reports.
– Should have experience in developing, implementing and documenting the following elements: Project management governance; Work progress flow diagrams; Frameworks; Reporting vehicles.
– Should have experience in: Developing project deliverables, in particular those related to scope and change management; Developing dynamic project schedules; Developing risk management plans including a risk management register.
– Should have experience in project management and project performance relating to: Making recommendations to senior management; Developing presentations; Managing communications with stakeholders.
