IT Division Leader

Nortrax

This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted July 3, 2018.

Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesMay include some or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Strategic planning, including identifying near/mid/long term opportunities, risks and trends.Apply tools, products, processes and technology to meet business needs in accordance with the IT strategy.
Manage application team responsible for the selection, implementation, and ongoing support of applications which support the Nortrax operations.
Provided dotted-line leadership to infrastructure and support groups by working closely with the IT Integrator.
Manage the Nortrax IT team including career development, work direction, coaching, skills development, performance management and team building.
Develop a work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, exhibits leadership and instills John Deere values.
Develops, tracks, and meets the operation and capital and expense budgets for Nortrax IT.
Act as liaison between Nortrax and other C&F dealers to understand technology trends and best practices.
Participates appropriate Information Technology business councils.Act as liaison between Nortrax IT and Deere Channel IT organization.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships between partners, providers, suppliers and other IT teams to provide a total solution.
Defines, monitors, and maintains key metrics for area of responsibility to measure the effectiveness and value of the services provided.
Responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance and security for Nortrax IT, including internal IS audits, external IS audits, and SOX compliance.

RequiredEducation, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in MIS, IT, or related field.8+ years managing IT teams and projects in mid to large sized organizations including: budgeting, staff management, strategic planning, and vendor management.
Diverse technical background including: IT support, infrastructure, project management, and application deployment, testing and acceptance.
Solid foundation of understanding common IT standards and compliance requirements. ITIL, SOX, COBIT, etc.

Bilingual in English and French (Québécois) is required.
