Applications include civil engineering, construction, environmental, mining, mining exploration, quarry, underwater, structural health, human annoyance, military, and noise.Instantel is hiring a Software Development Lead to join our growing product development and engineering team!

The candidate will be the technical lead for software development, which includes guiding the architecture and development for existing and new software development initiatives.

Lead the development of the quality assurance program and work as an integral part of the development team to ensure products are of the highest quality, aligned with customer needs, and delivered on time.Responsibilities:Lead, guide, and mentor the software development team, and manage the day-to-day activities for software development under the guidance of the Product Development and Engineering Manager.Design, develop and improve the architecture of software in support of instrumentation and environmental monitoring products that communicate with hardware devices via the cloud.Collaborate with hardware and firmware technical leads in system design, as well as business leaders to ensure alignment with customer needs.Collaborate with the existing design team to drive innovation resulting in new products and exceptional user experience.Lead key software projects assisting in the planning, organizing, scheduling of projects.Manage and execute project development plans while meeting or exceeding milestone targets.Desired Qualifications and Skills:Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Mathematics.Comprehensive understanding of IoT technologies and Reactive Systems.Extensive experience designing desktop, server, and cloud systems using proven design patterns.

Experience developing and deploying systems in Azure is critical.Development experience in web technologies such as HTML/CSS, Javascript, and React.Js.In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft .Net technologies, C#.Experience developing applications for iOS and Android devices is desirable, however not a critical skill.Experience with source code management systems, continuous integration/deployment environments and test automation.Experience working within agile development teams that may include a Product Owner, User Experience Designers, Software Developers, and Quality Assurance Analysts, committed to realize consistent delivery of software improvements.Aggressive diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.Ability to learn rapidly and master emerging technologies.Excellent English communication skills.Above all, must be a highly motivated, collaborative leader, and over-achiever who is passionate and driven to deliver results.Stanley Black & Decker believes in giving applicants an equal opportunity to succeed on their own merit.
