Contract Intermediate Instructional Designer/Trainer

This is a Contract position in Ottawa, ON posted July 17, 2021.

Our global client, leaders in their industry are in process of a ERP implementation, with a GO-Live ths fall.

The Instructional Designer and Training lead will be working with a technical writer and Change Management Lead.

Qualifications Procedure writing/standardization/coordination Training Plan ownership with Change Lead Coordinating Training logistics, online schedule, registration, communications, training environment preparation, etc.

with Change Lead Coordinate and facilitate train the trainer for business SME’s/trainers onsite and off-site Creating course outlines including (learning objectives, key topics, etc.) Create end-user training materials with focus on what is changing vs system changes
– working from current/future state process maps and detailed Change Impact assessment for various stakeholder groups.

Learning approach deliverables includes utilizing existing systems and materials already established and accessing and developing varied materials (i.e., course format, modules, tools needed, data, assessments/metrics etc.) Responsible for working with business/SMEs to validate training materials using SOP’s/Impact assessment Create and distribute training assessments upon completion of training to measure understanding and willingness to implement the change.

Develop and deliver training evaluation surveys.

Record/develop elearning scenarios utilizing existing tools, prioritizing vessel staff Coordinate publishing of all content material (documents or videos to COPES, Docmap, SharePoint etc.) with support of project team Prepare Dry Run scenarios during UAT / seek updates & approval.

Excellent Microsoft skills including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
