Human Resources Coordinator

This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted November 23, 2021.

The RDC Human Resources Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Human Resources team for all Ontario DC’s on functions such as hiring, onboarding, training, claims management, compliance and record retention.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Act as a resource for distribution centre Employees, Coach’s and Managers for all questions regarding human resources.

Resolve and/or escalate as needed.

Support for all Regional Distribution Centres (RDC, Halton Hills and Annex, DDC).

• Full recruitment for hourly roles within DC.

Includes partnering with hiring managers, job posting, screening, interviews and processing background checks, creating offer letters.

• Coordinate seasonal hiring of up to 200 temporary employees.

Partner with operations team to determine needs by department, and timelines.

Prepare strategy, coordinate with staffing agencies, update targets/status daily.

• Collaborate with the Associate Care Centre (ACC) on all documentation and the management of all relevant hiring, transfers, changes, work stoppage, and termination forms.

Support Management teams by training & problem-solving Workday & Kronos systems.

• Coordinate new associate onboarding by planning, organizing and facilitating the orientation sessions.

• Coordinate internal training (e.g., yearly signoff’s), which includes updating employee files working with department to schedule training and updating and the Learning & Talent Centre
• Receive and post material sent by the HR department and organize logistics for related activities, if applicable (e.g., National Hiring Day, Associate Opinion Survey, Company Communications, Social Activities)
• Create and Manage Data reports for HR functions (staffing reports, daily hours, turnover, etc).

• Maintain employee files, update and purge as per PIPEDA.

• Coordinate various events for the distribution centre (e.g., fundraising campaigns, theme weeks, Holiday celebrations)
• Administrative support to HR team
• Perform any other related tasks/projects as assigned Qualification Standards:
– Post-secondary education in Human resources, or a related field
– At least 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources
– Strong organizational and analytical skills
– Quality-focused and detail-oriented approach
– Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
– Very good knowledge of PPT, XLS, DOC (e.g., VLOOKUP, formulas)
– Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders
– Professionalism, discretion, integrity, and a sound judgement in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
