Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) – Full Time

JOB SUMMARY  You will be an integral part of a highly motivated & enthusiastic team, using your nursing judgement to assess and deliver routine and advanced nursing duties in the home or clinic setting. You will work in a fast paced and rewarding Community practice setting. You will use different nursing skills every day and participate in ongoing nursing education to expand these skills. You identify problems and implement nursing care plans in conjunction with the client and/or family and other members of the health care team. You acknowledge and implement Client Care Plan and Physician’s Order through Best Practice Guidelines, with accuracy and within the scope of practice. You are responsible in providing quality patient centred care and have the ability to manage stressful situations calmly. Home-Care & Medical-Surgical experience is an asset but new Grads welcomed to apply and participate in our New Grad Mentorship Program 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Arrange and provide excellent nursing care using the skills of assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation and health teaching. Responsibilities include technical nursing skills in accordance with nursing principles and We Care policies and procedures. Demonstrates respect for client’s individuality and choices. Applies adult learning principals and We Care teaching materials to provide health teaching to clients and families. Consistently & efficiently reports and communicates client’s status with other members of the health care team 


  • Understanding of all Nursing principles and skills
  • Must have at least 6 month experience with Footcare nursing
  • Effective critical thinking & communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • A current CPR and First Aide certificate
  • Comfort behind the wheel of car in a variety of weather settings



  • Current RPN Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses and is in compliance with all Applicable Law relating to the practice of Nursing in Ontario
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing


  • Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario, RNAO/RPNAO, CPR, Police Check with vulnerable sector screening, Valid Ontario driver’s license with vehicle
